Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, having made adjustments to the
information agenda, has become the main topic of the media market. The role of
journalists, as well as the activities of the media to disseminate information,
increased many times during this period. In 2020-2021, the world media saw a
significant increase in the number of materials of various genres and forms that
raise this topic. Kazakhstan did not remain aloof from this process. In this regard,
the main purpose of the article was to study the activities of Kazakhstani
journalism during COVID-19.“Egemen Kazakhstan” and “Radio Azattyk” were taken as the object of the
study, the features of the two portals in the presentation of this topic were
identified, an appropriate content analysis was carried out, and a scientifically
based conclusion was made about the weaknesses and rational aspects of the
media of Kazakhstan during the pandemic.
