THE IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING A POSITIVE IMAGE OFTHE POLICE IN THE MEDIA AND ITS METHODS

Abstract

The article examines the role of the police as one of the key
institutions for maintaining public order and combating crime. It highlights the
importance of public approval and support for the effectiveness of police
activities, emphasizing the need for social partnership and legal integration
between the police and the population. The article analyzes modern methods
of evaluating police effectiveness, including social auditing and monitoring of
public opinion, and discusses ways to increase public trust in the police through
the creation of a positive image. The influence of mass media on the formation
of this image is covered, and various socio-psychological and strategic aspects
of image policy important for strengthening the police's position in society are
considered.
